Digital ecological geoinformation basis of
sustainable development of Bosnia and Herzegovina
(Ecosystem protection projects)
The immediate objective of this project is the creation of georeferenced digital thematic maps of Bosnia and Herzegovina (EKO-ATLAS), which would represent the information basis to Eco-projects and studies on inter-municipal and regional level, information background deciding on the allocation of specific spatial structures of Eco-treatment, and baseline information hub synthesis processes at the national level in order to prepare analysis and reports provided by Eco-conventions that are required in BiH.
Digital Eco-atlas of Bosnia and Herzegovina is based on digitalization of large-scale maps or aerial photogrammetric shots of 1:50,000 and 1:25,000 with the possibility of reducing on the large-scale plans of 1:10.000 for areas of special interest. Development and organization is performed in a single GIS environment to make it available for analysis on administrative, basin or any other principle (entities, cantons, etc.)...
