Is there a network version of the hardware key?
| Question number: |
USB001 |
| Entry date: |
05.09.2005 12:00 |
| Revision: |
3.3.1 and more |
| ANSWER |
Yes, there is a network version of the TeleCAD-GIS software package. It uses a special network USB key that is installed on one of the servers within the company and operates over LAN or WAN. TeleCAD-GIS License Manager server application is in charge of licence managing. It is so called "floating license" that allows you to run applications on as many computers on the LAN as licenses purchased.
On the original TeleCAD-GIS CD-ROM, as well as in the serial number of the license, this version of the application is marked "NL". To upgrade from a single license to a network license, please contact the manufacturer or local representative.

Hardware key is broken. What should I do?
| Question number: |
USB002 |
| Entry date: |

| ANSWER |
First, make sure your USB hardware key is really broken or it is just a case of a problem with USB drivers. It is less likely to damage the USB key: due to mechanical action, action of electrostatic discharge, etc... If a small green light on the USB key is lit while the latter is connected to the computer - everything should be fine.
Firstly, try to uninstall TeleCAD-GIS application and then re-install. Also check if in meanwhile another application that uses the USB drivers was installed. So far, it was shown that only some USB drivers for large format scanners can affect the operation of the USB hardware key. Uninstall the drivers and reinstall TeleCAD-GIS application. If this does not help - please contact technical support.

The problem is in the Regional Options settings that are changed from the Control Panel. If you use a localized keyboard (Serbian, Bosnian, Serbian, Slovenian) in the PDF document, whose link is given below, describes the alternative solutions on the Windows XP (SP2):
|
| |
Pokrenite Start /Control
Panel /Regional
and Language Options. U dijalogu koji se potom
otvori (tab: Regional Options) u grupi Standards
and Formats izaberite jezik koji koristite.
U polju Location izaberite zemlju koja odgovara
postavljenom jeziku. Pređite na tab Advanced
i u polju Language for Non-Unicode Programs
izaberite identično podešavanje
jezika kao i u Standards and Formats tab-u.
Kliknite na dugme OK i restartujte računar.
Run the Start/Control Panel/Regional and Language Options. In the dialog box that then opens (tab: Regional Options) in the Standards and Formats group, select the language you use. In the Location box, select the country that matches your language. Go to the Advanced tab in the Language for Non-Unicode Programs field, select identical language setting as in Standards and Formats tab. Click OK and restart your computer.

Commands COPY, PASTE, MOVE, EXPORT,... are not executed, and in the command line you do not get any message or in some cases, the message "Wblock operation rejected due to a proxy object that does not allow copying." is shown.
It means that in the drawing you have objects that are created with other Autodesk application, and it is usually Autodesk Land Desktop or Autodesk Architectural Desktop.
One solution is to download "Object Enabler" with Autodesk site (section Utilities & Drivers) for the application you use. AutoCAD 2006, AutoCAD MAP 2006 3D
The second solution is to save drawing in DXF format v.12, and then open it and save as DWG format of desired version.
